Corrado Borsano joined Metroconsult in 2011 as a Director of the Milan office. He now provides his services as an Intellectual Property Consultant. Corrado is a patent and trademark attorney registered before the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM).
He mainly deals with patent consultancy matters in the electronics, software, telecommunications, and mechanics sectors. He is also involved in the protection of trademarks and corporate design, and copyright software protection.
His professional experience also includes serving as a Technical Expert before the Court of Milan and as a technical expert in litigation disputes.
Education and career
Prior to joining Metroconsult, Corrado worked for prominent telecommunications companies in the IP field as Manager of the Italian patent departments of Siemens and Alcatel.
Corrado is the author of various publications and regularly takes part in seminars as a speaker on intellectual property matters, He is a member of several professional associations such as AIPPI (International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property), LES (Licensing Executives Society) and EPI (European Patent Institute).
He has a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Polytechnic of Turin. Corrado is fluent in English and French and has a basic knowledge of German.
