Giancarlo Reposio began his career in Metroconsult as an Intellectual Property Consultant after completing an internship in 2002. Giancarlo is a patent and trademark attorney registered before the European Patent Office (EPO), the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), and the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM).
Giancarlo deals with patent matters, mainly focusing on mechanics, hydraulics, automotive, optics, and medical devices. One of his main areas of expertise is white goods electronic parts and products.
He has gained significant experience as a Technical Expert before the Court of Turin and as a party-appointed Technical Consultant in litigation disputes.
Giancarlo is a mediator of civil and commercial disputes and is also considered eligible as a Judge of the forthcoming Unified Patent Court (UPC) by the Preparatory Committee.
Education and professional experiences
Before joining Metroconsult, Giancarlo worked in the R&D department of a well-known company active in the lighting industry.
Giancarlo has lectured on the subject of Intellectual Property at various conferences and seminars.
He is a member of numerous IP Associations including AIDB (Association of the Italian Patent Information Users), EPI (European Patent Institute), and LES (Licensing Executives Society).
Giancarlo has a degree in Law and he is fluent in English. He has a basic knowledge of French and German.
