The theme of the 2025 edition of World Intellectual Property Day is: IP and Music: Feel the Beat of IP
To celebrate this important event, held annually on April 26, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has launched a video competition for young people aged 18 to 35, inviting them to showcase the connection between music, intellectual property, innovation, and creativity.
Prizes include digital equipment and training opportunities offered by the WIPO Academy.
Video submissions must be sent by March 16, 2025.

What is World Intellectual Property Day?
World Intellectual Property Day (IP Day) is celebrated annually on April 26.
This event was established by WIPO (the World Intellectual Property Organization) in 2000 with the dual objective of raising awareness about the impact of patents, trademarks, designs, and other intellectual property rights on our daily lives and celebrating the contribution of creativity and innovation to global economic and social development.
April 26 was chosen as the date for World IP Day because it marks the anniversary of the entry into force of the convention that established WIPO in 1970.
